#1 fan to be selected at Galax tailgate party

GALAX -- Who’s the biggest Virginia Tech or Wake Forest fan in the area? Or North Carolina, Duke, or any other team.
A tailgate party is planned at Felts Park in Galax for Saturday, Aug. 27 from noon until 8 p.m., as a pre-football kickoff.
The team with the most tailgaters and the No. 1 fan will be honored at the party.
Everyone is invited to bring a tent or awning and grill your own food during the huge cookout party. You can also dress in your favorite team’s colors.
This is a fun event for the entire family and no alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
Music will also be provided to add to the atmosphere.
The cost is $20 and every dollar will go to help support the Free Clinic of the Twin Counties in Galax.
