GALAX -- Bonnie Sue Mayes, 50, of Galax, died Jan. 25, 2012 at Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mt. Airy, N.C.
She was born Feb. 15, 1961 in Maryland to the late Clyde and Esther Jones Caudell.
She is survived by her son, Corrie Mclain of Mt. Airy; step-father, Ronald Young of Galax; sisters, Clara Caudell, Barbara Brown, Christy Young, all of Galax, and Patricia Nixon of Pulaski; brothers, Michael Blackburn and Jimmy Blackburn, both of Galax;  and several nieces and nephews.
