Clanton earns LPGA card

The granddaughter of a Grayson County couple received her Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) playing card after finishing tied for ninth in the LPGA Qualifying Tournament recently.
Cydney Clanton of Concord, N.C., shot rounds of 72-76-70-74-71 – 363 (+3) at the 6,389-yard, par 72  Champions Course, LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.,
to receive her card.
She is the granddaughter of Don and Ann Sharpe of Troutdale.
