Cox selected Rookie of the week

FERRUM – Ferrum College freshman Brock Cox of Galax, received a special honor last week when he was named the USA South Men’s Golf Rookie of the Week for his part in the Panthers 4th-place finish at the Ted Keller Memorial Golf Tournament played Oct. 1-2 in Glen Allen, Va.
Cox, a former player for the Galax Maroon Tide golf team, shot a seven-over par 151 to tie for ninth place with teammate Jacon Hardy. He shot an even-par 72 in the opening round, then followed with a seven-over par 79.
