About the only thing that has slowed the Grayson County boys tennis team this season has been a storm that produced rain and lightning during a match against George Wythe.
The Blue Devils are undefeated and lead the Mountain Empire District.
Blue Devil coach Jim Carter said the Blue Devils won the match 5-1 last Monday and will finish the #1 doubles match when the two teams meet again May 15 at George Wythe.
Garrett Bailey, the #1 player for the Blue Devils, had a scare in his match against Rhodes Kline. Kline won the first set 6-1, but Bailey found his touch to win the next two sets, 6-2, 6-4.

In a MED match last week, the Blue Devils shutout Fort Chiswell, 9-0.

The Blue Devils will play three MED matches at home this week, Graham on Monday, Bland County Tuesday and Galax Thursday.
