Hash turns 128 mph to win Super Pro class at Elk Creek

ELK CREEK – Dwight Hash of Independence rattled the Elk Creek valley Aug. 6 when he won the Super Pro – Pro-Line Performance class at Elk Creek Dragway.
Hash, driving a 1998 Dodge Avenger, turned a speed of 128.32 mph to beat runner-up Van Greer of Kingsport, Tenn., who posted a speed of 94.60 mph in a 1985 Ford Escort.
Brandon White of Hillsville won the Footbrake class driving his 1969 Chevy Camaro to a speed of 89.32 mph to beat runner-up Jimmy Reeves of Sparta, N.C., who turned a 77.93 mph in a 1968 Mercury Cougar.
