James Melville Cox, 86, of Independence, Va., died Thursday, Jan.26, 2012.
Mr. Cox was born Aug. 4, 1925, at Brookside Farm, Independence, Va., the son of Kyle Thomas Cox and Elizabeth Jordan Cox. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, David Jordan Cox, and his granddaughter, Lucy Brooke Jennings.
