Locals attend DAR state conference

The 116th Virginia Society Daughters of the American Revolution State Conference met in Norfolk March 16-18. Theme was “Enhance the Present”.   
State Regent Patricia Musick Hatfield welcomed President General Merry Ann T. Wright for a “Roll Out the Red Carpet” program and reception on Thursday evening and for the opening night banquet where she was the featured speaker.  
There were more than 800 members and guests at the conference.  
Susan Story, New River Pioneer regent, attended the conference.
