Red Cross offers Safety Class

The Wood’s River Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer an Oct. 11 community safety class that covers training in standard first aid, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and use of the automatic external defibrillator.
Instruction starts at 10 a.m. at the chapterhouse, 244 Bee Line Drive, Galax.
Cost is $90 and meets all OSHA and healthcare requirements. Register at www.redcross.org or call 1-800-733-2767.
