FRIES – The Grayson County Sheriff’s Department answered 31 calls for service in the Town of Fries in April according to a report presented to Fries Town Council last Tuesday night.
Lt. Tim Sawyer presented the report that showed one arrest for domestic, one for traffic plus three other arrests.
The department conducted 26 follow-up investigations.
Under routine, deputies conducted 494 closed business checks, 14 forestry checks, 62 open business checks, 53 church checks, 55 house checks, and three open bank checks. They also searched one vehicle using their K-9, made one substance seizure, served four warrants and had 189.50 hours of directive patrol.
Under a special agreement, the sheriff’s office provides police protection for the Town of Fries for a $40,500 annual fee.
