SPARTA, N.C. – A benefit basketball tournament will be held Jan. 7-8 at Alleghany High School to benefit the Luke Hampton family.
Team trophies will be presented for first, second and third places.
The format will be released later but there is a two-game guarantee with a maximum 10 man roster. Players must be 18 or older.
The cost is $150 per team with proceeds going to pay medical bills for Hampton, a Trojan wrestler who suffered a spinal column injury during a recent match. He is receiving treatment at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta.
