VDOT awards area highway contracts

RICHMOND – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) recently awarded 10 highway contracts valued at approximately $7.2 million for the Bristol District.  
Makco, Inc., of Charlottesville, received an on-call guardrail contract for $155,823 for Grayson, Wythe, Smyth and Bland counties.
A $775,030 paving contract for various routes in Grayson, Russell, Scott, Smyth and Tazewell counties was approved for Slurry Pavers, Inc., of Glen Allen, Va.
