RICHMOND – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) recently awarded 15 highway contracts valued at approximately $53.6 million for the Bristol District.
The Bristol District consists of 12 counties in southwestern Virginia including Grayson, Washington, Smyth, Lee, Scott, Russell, Buchanan, Tazewell, Bland, Wise, Dickenson, and Wythe.
One of the contracts, for $1.7 million, was awarded to Adams Construction Co. of Roanoke to pave various routes in Grayson County.
A $985,180 contract to install pavement markings on various routes within the Bristol District was awarded to Interstate Road Management Corporation, Hazleton, Pa.
