TROUTDALE - Students at Grayson Highlands School held a walkathon at the school last Friday to raise funds for juvenile diabetes. Every student in the school participated and walked 30 minutes. They also sold paper sneakers for $1 each and displayed them on windows in the hallway. Jackie Perry, school nurse and one of the organizers, watched the students during the walk. She reported Monday that $1,274 was raised.
