On Nov. 3, the Rex Theater in downtown Galax will host the first-ever Bluegrass Jam, starring bands Dogwood & Holly, Loose Strings and High Octane.

Mt. Vale Vineyards, 3222 Meadow Creek Road in Galax, will be hosting a Plein Air Day on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Artists and the general public are invited to attend this event.

Jazz on the Mountain plays its first Galax concert on Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Galax Theatre Guild & Carol Waddell Stage, which is located behind the Galax Public Library, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is free to the public. Bring a lawn chair and a picnic basket and listen, dance and sing along. Food, fun & dancing till dusk is encouraged.

Over the past few years, this informal concert series has featured some of the most talented musicians in our area and has become quite a hit with Twin County Music Lovers of all ages.

WYTHEVILLE -- Wytheville Community College is sponsoring its free monthly Bluegrass and Old-Time Jamboree, this time featuring the Bluegrass Kinsmen and the New Ballard’s Branch Bogtrotters on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 7-9 p.m.
The Jamboree will be held in the William F. Snyder Auditorium on the WCC campus, located at 1000 East Main Street in Wytheville.
