Powerhouse Road was blocked by police and rescue personnel Tuesday night after officers reportedly fatally shot an armed suspect at a residence.
Police fatally shoot armed suspect

State Police are continuing to investigate the shooting death of an armed suspect by Grayson Sheriff’s officers, during an incident where the suspect reportedly threatened to kill officers and pointed a rifle at them.
According to a statement from Grayson Sheriff Richard Vaughan, Twin County E-911 received a call from 423 Power House Road Independence on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at approximately 9:10 p.m.
“The caller stated that he was armed with an AK-47, and would shoot any officers that attempted to come to his residence,” Vaughan said.
