INDEPENDENCE — The Grayson County School Board said goodbye to departing member Shannon Holdaway last Monday, during their final meeting of the year.
Holdaway, who has represented the Wilson District on the school board for the past 12 years, chose not to run for another term during this past year’s election. His seat will be filled in January by Rick Sage.
On behalf of the school board, Chairwoman Diane Haynes presented Holdaway with a plaque in honor of his service to the school system.
