Making Grayson Glow

-A A +A
By Shaina Stockton

INDEPENDENCE — A newly-formed committee in Grayson County is pursuing a beautification initiative to draw in tourism for the holiday season.
“Making Grayson Glow,” originally an Independence town initiative, is a project the committee is modeling after similar successful projects in Galax and in Sparta, N.C. The committee’s goal is to raise enough funds to set up a holiday light display this year at the heart of Grayson County: the Historic 1908 Courthouse.
