FRIES — The caboose in Fries has been long-known as a popular stop for ice cream to combat the spring and summer heat; and new business owners Denny Brooms and wife Cindy hope to build upon that tradition.
The former Whistle Stop Ice Cream Shop, founded and operated by Cynthia Grant of Fries, is confirmed to be changing hands in the next few weeks. The Brooms’ family will reopen the business under the name Sweet Lily’s Ice Cream, named for their granddaughter.
Their planned catch phrase for the business is “Fries (freeze) in the summer.”
