Grayson K-9 officer sniffs out drugs at traffic stop

INDEPENDENCE — A Grayson sergeant arrested three individuals after a traffic stop turned up drugs and drug paraphernalia.
According to a report from Sheriff Richard Vaughan, the arrests took place on Aug. 2. Sgt. Jason Carico was on routine patrol on Rt. 94, near Nuckoll’s Curve Rd., when he observed a vehicle with a defective driver’s side headlight. He initiated a traffic stop near Rt. 94 and Grinder’s Mill Rd.
