Troutdale Fire and Rescue has announced that fundraising plans are underway to purchase a new ambulance for the department.
At the squad’s Feb. 3 business meeting, the group discussed plans to upgrade from their current ambulance: a 2004 model with 140,000 miles. The cost to replace it will be around $280,000, which they hope to mostly cover with grant funding. Fundraising is planned to cover an estimated match of $58,000 if they are able to receive the grant.
