Virginia Tech prepares Fries Mill display

University library organizes and preserves documents to create historical collection

FRIES — A grant-funded project is currently in progress at Virginia Tech, to organize and preserve a series of documents for the history of Fries and the former textile mill.
“They’re Closing Down the Textile Mill: Creating Access to the Fries Textile Plant Records at Virginia Tech,” is a one-year grant funded project designed to provide access to a significant collection that documents the history of the town and the mill site.
