A fire of undetermined origin damaged the Alleghany Motor Market on Main Street in Sparta Thursday morning. The fire was reported in the garage area about 9:30 a.m. Firefighters from the Sparta-Alleghany and Glade Creek volunteer fire departments battled the fire for about two hours.
