Grayson County surpasses neighbors in some United Way fundraising efforts

INDEPENDENCE -- The United Way’s fundraising efforts in Grayson County are going well. That’s the message from Chris Brown, the organization’s Twin County area resource development manager. “Our campaign goal this year is $100,000 and as of today we’re at about 66 percent, so we are right on schedule to make our campaign goal by end of year,” Brown told the Grayson County Board of Supervisors during his presentation at the supervisors Dec. 11 regular monthly meeting.
